Login Link

Login Link (Magic Link) allows users to sign in securely to your WordPress site using a one-time authentication link delivered directly to their email address. Users do not need to remember
passwords or enter verification codes—simply clicking the link automatically authenticates their session and signs them in.

Important: Login Link (Magic Link) is available in AIO Login Pro.

Why Use Login Links?

Traditional passwords create friction during authentication and are often vulnerable to weak credentials, credential reuse, and brute-force attacks. Login Links simplify the sign-in experience by allowing users to authenticate through their verified email inbox.

This approach is particularly beneficial for membership sites, customer portals, and WooCommerce stores where reducing login friction directly improves conversions and user engagement.

Setting Up Login Links on Your WordPress Site

Follow the steps below to configure Login Links:

Navigate to the Passwordless Authentication Settings

• Go to WordPress Dashboard → AIO Login → Passwordless Authentication
• Open the Login Link sub-tab.

• Toggle Login Link to Enabled.

Configuration Options

Configure the following settings within the Login Link section:

Login Link Validity

Specify how long generated login links remain active before expiring.

You can define both:

• A numeric value
• A validity unit

Supported units:

• Minutes
• Hours
• Days

Default: 10 Minutes

Maximum Login Link Requests

Specify how many login link requests can be generated for a single email address during the configured validity window.

Allowed Range: 1–100 requests

Note: The user’s IP has exceeded the maximum allowed login links attempts and is temporarily blocked until the configured lockout period expires or the lock is manually removed from AIO Login → Activity Log → Lockouts.

Skip 2FA for Login Link

Enable this option if users authenticated via Login Link should bypass any additional Two-Factor Authentication steps.

• Click Save Changes to apply the configuration.

Note: If WooCommerce is installed and active, Login Links can be enabled for Login, Registration, and Checkout directly from the WooCommerce Integration settings.

Frontend Login Experience

When Login Link (Magic Link) is enabled, users will see additional passwordless login options throughout supported authentication screens.

Standard WordPress Login Form

Step 1: Launch Login Link Authentication

• A new Email Me a Login Link button appears below the standard username/password fields.
• Clicking the button opens the Magic Link panel.

Note: Login Links are single-use authentication tokens and automatically become invalid after they are consumed or expire.

Step 2: Enter Email Address

The panel initially displays the Contact Stage.

Users can:

• Enter their email address.
• Complete CAPTCHA verification if Google reCAPTCHA, hCaptcha, or Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled.
• Click Send Link to request a secure authentication link.

Note: If user registration is enabled on your WordPress site, AIO Login can automatically create an account for unregistered email addresses that request a Login Link.

Step 3: Link Sent Confirmation

After successfully requesting a login link, the panel switches to the Sent Confirmation Stage.

Users will:

• See a confirmation message requesting them to check their email inbox.
• Receive instructions to click the login link contained within the email.
