WordPress Multisite Login Security with AIO Login.

Estimated reading: 5 minutes 96 views

AIO Login’s Multisite Network Compatibility lets Super Administrators manage login security, authentication, settings, and activity across all WordPress Multisite subsites from one Network Admin dashboard.

Why Use Multisite Network Compatibility?

Managing security settings separately on every subsite can be time-consuming and inconsistent. AIO Login lets you:

  • Manage security settings centrally.
  • Apply network-wide policies.
  • Allow controlled subsite-level overrides.
  • Monitor authentication activity across all subsites.
  • Share supported credentials across the network.

Set Up Multisite Network Compatibility

Before You Begin: Make sure AIO Login is Installed and Network Activated on your WordPress Multisite network before proceeding.

Network Governance & Policies

AIO Login provides three policy levels to control how settings are managed across the network.

Network Managed

  • Network Admin controls the setting.
  • Subsite administrators cannot edit the setting.
  • Network changes apply to all applicable subsites.

Site Override Allowed

  • Subsites inherit the Network Admin settings by default.
  • Subsite administrators can enable Override Network Settings.
  • Local changes apply only to that subsite.
  • Supported Social Login credentials continue to inherit from Network Admin unless local credentials are configured.

Individual Settings

  • Network-level enforcement is disabled for the feature.
  • Each subsite manages its own settings independently.

Troubleshooting

  • Subsite Administrators Cannot Modify a Setting
    • Go to Network Admin > AIO Login > Network Settings and confirm the feature uses Site Override Allowed or Individual Settings.
  • Activity Logs Are Missing Subsite Events
    • Ensure AIO Login is Network Activated across the Multisite network. If necessary, verify that the affected subsite has initialized its AIO Login settings.
  • Social Login Redirect Fails on a Subsite
    • Check that your OAuth application includes the redirect URLs for all required subsite domains and paths.
