Disabling Common WordPress Usernames

The Disable Common Usernames feature in AIO Login helps enhance your WordPress site’s security by blocking common or custom usernames often targeted in brute force attacks. Follow these steps to configure this feature:

Navigate to the AIO Login Dashboard:

  • After activating the AIO Login plugin, go to your WordPress admin dashboard.
  • Click on the AIO Login plugin from the left-hand WordPress side menu bar to access the AIO Login dashboard.

Access the Block IP Addresses Settings:

  • Click on the “Login Protection” tab in the AIO Login dashboard, and then the Disable Common Usernames sub-tab will be redirected to the settings.

Enable the Disable Common Usernames Feature:

Toggle the switch to enable the Disable Common Usernames feature.

Configure Usernames to Disable:

In the “Usernames to Disable” field, enter the custom usernames you don’t want to create.

  • Separate multiple usernames with a comma.
  • The default usernames are: admin, test, user, admin123, test123, username. If left blank, these default usernames won’t be created on your WordPress site.

Save Your Changes:

  • Click the “Save Changes” button to apply your settings.

That’s it! By activating the “Disable Common Usernames” feature, you can improve the security of your WordPress site and protect it from common threats.
